Lessons of No

I believe in the value of saying NO. Every time we say yes to something not important we take time from something important by saying no to it.

You can’t be all things to all people. Know your priorities, everyone has them. Know your goals. Know what needs to get done for you to feel that you played your best game as a human being. And then say no to everything else. Sure, some people around you will not be happy. But leadership isn’t a popularity contest. It’s about doing what you know to be right for you.
Friend who wants to meet over coffee to gossip? Co-worker who wants to spread his negativity and cynicism? A relative who makes you doubt yourself? Social obligations that drain time from your life's passions? Just say no.

Avoiding the noise is essential, we all face the "urgent" during our days, but the best stay true to their vision and values, And they ensure that the things that truly count never get sacrificed for those unimportant ones.

Avoid the noise, just say no.
